About the film
As US forces withdraw from Afghanistan and the Taliban gains ground, Khaiber Akbarzada rises through the ranks of buzkashi, the traditional horse-riding sport. His growing fame also brings danger. Directed by Jason Motlagh and Mark Oltmanns, Riders on the Storm follows him as he weighs his sporting ambitions against the risks facing him and his family.
